I mentioned this to Graham Berry and he said he got a similarly unrelated reply to his complaint over a year ago where they talked about a Northern California US Attorney. Graham figured they had me mixed up with him. The only thing we can do is make a public record of these attempts. *************** U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division ANM:amc:mjp DJ 144-12C-0 Criminal Section - PHB 950 Pennsylvania Avenue, N. W. Washington, DC 20530 May 17 2004 Mr. H. Keith Henson 176 Henry St., #45 Brantford, ON NOS 5C8 Dear Mr. Henson: This is in response to your letter dated May 3, 2004, in which you allege that you were wrongly indicted and convicted for "interfering with a religion" in April 2001. Specifically, you allege that Judge Walker and his court acted corruptly by not allowing you to properly defend yourself at trial. The Criminal Section of the Civil Rights Division has the responsibility of enforcing federal criminal civil rights statutes. The enforcement activity primarily involves deprivations of civil rights under color of law, and generally the use of excessive physical force by law enforcement officers. We have carefully reviewed the information which you furnished. However, we have determined that your complaint does not involve a prosecutable violation of federal criminal civil rights statutes. Moreover, the Criminal Section does not have the authority to conduct an appellate review of state court decisions nor to dispense legal advice in such matters. Accordingly, we are unable to assist you. For your information, complaints relating to public corruption by elected and appointed officials are handled by the Public Integrity Section of the Criminal Division. You may wish to write directly to the Public Integrity Section of the Criminal Division at 950 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, 20530-0001 with complaints of that nature. Sincerely, Albert N. Moskowitz Section Chief Criminal Section Civil Rights Division By. Aileen M. Cannon Paralegal Specialist Criminal Section *********** [My reply by email over a week ago, no subsequent communications.] Date: Tue, 25 May 2004 19:49:52 -0400 My complaint was not primarily directed toward the Hemet, California Judges. Still, the reply failed to get the name of the judge who conducted the trial against me correct. It is clear that Criminal Section either did not read or did not understand my complaint. Can you find out if Criminal Section has any objection to me making the attached embarrassing letter public? Sincerely, Keith Henson
